1.3. Ethics Reporting Channel

We have implemented a management system to record, process, and assess complaints related to potential or actual breaches of due diligence obligations.

The Mederer Group is committed to responsible and sustainable business management. To this end, a Code of Conduct has been developed that applies equally to all Mederer Group employees and its business partners. You can consult the current version of the Mederer Group Code of Conduct here.

Mederer Group employees and business partners are encouraged to report violations of the Code of Conduct to the compliance officer or through the reporting and complaints management system.

2. Human Rights

2.1. Rooted in the Company

The Mederer Group expressly acknowledges its responsibility to respect human rights due diligence obligations throughout its supply chains. Compliance with this Statement of Principles is firmly embedded in the company’s organizational structure.

2.2. Social responsibility

As an international company with extensive supply chains, we are aware that our activities may entail the risk that human rights and environmental standards could be compromised or even violated at some point along the supply chain. Therefore, our aim is to identify potential risks in advance, minimize them, prevent violations, or respond to them appropriately.

2.3. Conduct standards

We expect our employees to act in accordance with the law and to maintain respectful and tolerant behavior toward all individuals. Every employee is part of our corporate family and contributes at all times to the company’s external image. All information, guidelines, and behaviors specified in this Statement of Principles and in our Code of Conduct (CoC) are binding for all employees of the Mederer Group, regardless of their position within the company. Employees are asked to comply with these guidelines and to contact their supervisor or management at any time if they have questions or suggestions.

2.4. Cooperation with Business Partners

The Mederer Group works with qualified suppliers, distributors, and service providers (“business partners”), who are carefully selected based on objective criteria. It requires its business partners to meet the same level of compliance as it demands from itself. The principles and values set out in the Mederer Group’s Code of Conduct (CoC), as well as in this Statement of Principles, form the basis of our cooperation with our business partners.

3. Reporting and Continuous Improvement

We are aware that the implementation of human rights due diligence is an ongoing development process. We are currently in the midst of this process and are committed to continuous improvement. In global supply chains, respecting human rights requires long-term commitment and a gradual approach. For this reason, we aim to promote continuous improvement in our cooperation with our business partners throughout the value chain. We also recognize that we may not always be able to fully achieve all of our objectives.

4. Notes

For readability purposes, the Mederer Group generally uses a single gender form in this policy statement. However, it is intended to refer equally to all genders.

REPORTING CHANNEL

As an international company with extensive supply chains, we are aware that our activities are always associated with the risk that human rights and environmental standards may be compromised or even violated within the supply chain. Our goal is therefore to identify potential risks at an early stage and minimize them, prevent violations, or respond to them appropriately.

If violations occur despite numerous preventive measures, we can only take action if we are made aware of them. For this purpose, we have introduced a reporting procedure for notifying us of human rights and environmental violations.
